Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 Has 2400 ANSI Lumens and Only $850

Today we’ll talk about the new Xiaomi projector. It has the simple name Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector. Do not confuse it with other Xiaomi Mijia projectors.

The new projector was introduced a few days ago in China at MIDC 2019 developer conference. It is the result of a collaboration between Xiaomi and Fengmi. As you know, Fengmi produces projectors. As a rule, these are flagship projectors with flagship features.

We previously wrote about Fengmi projectors, such as Xiaomi Mi Projector Vogue Edition, Mijia Laser Projector, Xiaomi Wemax C700 and Xiaomi WeMax One Pro.

Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 is a laser projector with compact dimensions, 2400 ANSI lumens brightness, maximum image size of 150-inches and Full HD resolution. The new projector supports voice control. It is also equipped with dual 10W speakers.

The projector hasn’t gone on sale yet, but main specifications and design of Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 are already known. Let’s talk about them.

Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019: Specifications

Judging by photos from conference, the new Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 projector will have more compact dimensions than its predecessors.

The projector is available in matte white with a gray front panel. The exact information about size and weight is not yet known.

The maximum brightness of new projector is 2400 ANSI lumens. This is almost two times less than Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 4K, but more than Xiaomi Mi Projector Vogue Edition.

2400 ANSI lumens is enough for a bright and saturated image. Of course, the image quality in complete darkness will be better, but the projector can still be used during the day.

The projection screen can reach 150-inches. Projector native resolution is Full HD. The required distance between the projector and the wall is not reported, but it is not a projector with ultra-short throw. Therefore, you need a room of at least two meters in length. We think this is not a problem.

We also know that the new Xiaomi projector 2019 is equipped with two built-in speakers with power of 10W each. We are sure that they will provide a clear and loud sound while watching videos, listening to music or even games.

Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 supports 8K video decoding, and runs on MIUI TV operating system. This is the same user interface that is used on Xiaomi TVs and TV boxes.

Unfortunately, we can’t say that this is an advantage of projector, because MIUI TV has many Chinese applications and services that are useless in European and US markets.

Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 supports voice control function. This greatly simplifies the use of projector.

Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019: Release Date and Price

When Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 projector goes on sale is unknown. But we already know that the price of the new projector will be $850.

Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 2019 is a cross between the most expensive Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 4K ($1480) and the more affordable Xiaomi Mi Projector Vogue Edition ($522).
