Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S: The Same Slider Design, 5G and 48MP camera

In the spring of 2018, Xiaomi released the third generation of a bezel-less flagship called Mi Mix 2S. The smartphone has lost most of the shortcomings of Mi Mix and Mi Mix 2. It has received  dual main camera and other features. However, the front camera will be above the display, like the previous models. The manufacturer decided to make Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 a completely bezel-less, so it received slider design.

In 2019, it is popular to make hole-punch displays instead of notches above the screen. The main question to Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S – will it have a slider design? After all, Xiaomi usually follows the main trends of the modern smartphone world.

It seems that we already have the answer. Some days ago we received the first real photos of upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S. Let’s review the photos, and talk about specifications and features.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S: Design

It is difficult to say for sure how Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S will look like. After all, there are no serious leaks about new smartphone. However, we have a spy photo from Xiaomi office. You can see how one of the employees holds Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S in his hand.

If this is true, then we can say that Mi Mix 3S will have a slider design. As you can see, the screen of smartphone on photo doesn’t have bezels, notches or holes. It means that most likely Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S will be a slider.

Apparently Xiaomi does not want to abandon the new slider form factor in modern devices. The Chinese manufacturer can experiment with this smartphone, because the main flagship is Xiaomi Mi 9. It will have the classic design, because the company hasn’t right to make mistakes with the main flagship.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S: Performance

Of course, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S will support 5G mobile internet. The smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 855, which is equipped with Snapdragon X50 modem. 5G is one of the main innovation in 2019, and the next smartphone from Xiaomi cannot miss it.

The smartphone will have at least 6GB of RAM, up to 10GB. Also, there will be from 128GB of internal memory up to 256GB.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will have Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, NFC, A-GPS and 4G VoLTE.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S: Camera

There are also leaks that Mi Mix 3S will receive a dual main camera with 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. As for the second sensor, we know nothing about it. Perhaps, it will be 12MP sensor Sony IMX363, which perfectly complement 48MP sensor.

There will be optical stabilization in both photo sensors, which will have a positive effect on shooting photos with low light conditions and when shooting video.

The front camera will have Sony’s 20MP + 8MP sensors.

As for the rest specifications of upcoming smartphone, it’s too early to say. Yes, there are many leaks and rumors, but they are pretty dubious. So, we are waiting for truthful reports!

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S: Release Date and Price

Xiaomi will not be in a hurry with the release of Mi Mix 3S, because soon it will introduce Xiaomi Mi 9. Most likely, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3S will be released in March 2019. The price of new smartphone will be like the predecessor – about $500.
