Xiaomi Mi 9X (Mi A3) First REVIEW: Better Than Redmi Note 7 Pro!

Xiaomi made significant changes in 2019. One of the most important changes is the separation of Redmi smartphone series into a special brand. We already have budget phone from new brand – Redmi Note 7. Meanwhile, Xiaomi brand decided to focus exclusively on premium flagship phones. The Chinese company wants to get rid of the title of manufacturer of cheap smartphones.

Xiaomi already released flagships, such as Mi 9, Mi 9 TE and Mi 9 SE. However, the prices of new smartphones are not pleased. As you know, the main advantage of Xiaomi over competitors is price tag.

So, Xiaomi is preparing a mid-range smartphone called Mi 9X. It will be some kind of analogue of Mi 9 SE, only a little easier and cheaper. Moreover, Xiaomi Mi 9X will be the Chinese version of Xiaomi Mi A3. As you know, Mi A series from Xiaomi is very popular, because of the stock Android. So, what do we know about Xiaomi Mi 9X and upcoming Xiaomi Mi A3?

Xiaomi Mi 9X: Specifications

There are no doubts that Xiaomi Mi A3 will have the same design, specifications and features as Mi 9X. We all remember very well how Xiaomi Mi A1 was the same Mi X5, while Mi A2 was an international version of Xiaomi Mi 6X. It would be logical to wait that Mi 7X will be the basis for Xiaomi Mi A3.

We already know some details about Xiaomi Mi 9X. However, we don’t have any information about design of upcoming smartphone. We can suggest that it will be another bezel-less phone with waterdrop notch. We are waiting for a copy of Mi 9 SE. Is it bad or good – decide for yourself.

Xiaomi Mi 9X: Display

Let’s start with display. The diagonal of Xiaomi Mi 9X screen will be 6.4-inches. For the first time, Xiaomi will use AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution.

Xiaomi Mi 9X: Performance

The second interesting feature is Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor. The basic model will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Xiaomi Mi 9X: Camera

The main camera will have three sensors. The rear camera will consist of 48 megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, 8 megapixel sensor with dual optical zoom and 13 megapixel camera for a wide-angle photo.

Waterdrop notch above the display will hide 32MP sensor from Samsung.

Xiaomi Mi 9X: Battery

The thickness of Xiaomi Mi 9X will be only 7.3 mm, so the battery capacity will be 3300mAh. Of course, we would like to have 4000mAh, but don’t forget that Xiaomi Mi A1 had 3080mAh battery, while Xiaomi Mi A2  – only 3010mAh. It seems that low battery capacity is a “feature” of the series.

Many people were waiting for Redmi Note 7 Pro on global market, but it will never go on sale on Europe, USA and other countries. It seems that Xiaomi Mi A3 will be a good alternative of Redmi Note 7 Pro for European users.

Moreover, Xiaomi Mi A3 is even better than Redmi Note 7 Pro, because it has triple camera and stock Android 10 operating system.

Also, Xiaomi Mi 9X and Mi A3 will have NFC, which is extremely important.

Xiaomi Mi 9X: Release Date and Price

If we talk about release date of Xiaomi Mi 9X, then there is not much time left before its announcement. The predecessor – Xiaomi Mi 6X – appeared on April 25, 2018. It means that Mi 9X will appear around the same time.

As for Xiaomi Mi A3, the release of this smartphone will be in July-August 2019. The price of both phones will be $250.
