Fom the other hand, in this article we want to talk about body camera called SJCAM A10. It is already on sale in some countries, for example, Russia. Soon it will be available worldwide. SJCAM A10: Design
So, let’s start with design of SJCAM A10. We cannot say that it has unique design or appearance. This is compact body camera of black color. All buttons and connectors under the plugs are on the sides, while the power button is located on the front panel under the lens. At the bottom you can battery compartment. On the back there is 2-inch display. The dimensions are 83x58x40 mm, weight – 83 grams.

The main feature of SJCAM A10 is protection according to IP65 standard. The manufacturer says that body camera is protected from rain, moisture, dust and even mechanical damage. However, you should not immerse the camera in water. IP65 means that it is not DVR, but real action camera for travellers, policemen, and other active users. What about specifications and battery life? We’ll talk about this below.

As for the screen, it is the same as most action cameras have. In particular, 2-inch LCD-display with touch control and resolution of 240×320 pixels. The lithium-ion battery is removable and it has a capacity of 2650 mAh. The Power is 5V/1A.

We won’t talk much about specifications of SJCAM A10, because the most interesting thin is photo and video shooting.
SJCAM A10: Camera
The device has SONY IMX 323 sensor with aperture F/2.5 and a wide-angle lens 140 degrees. This allows you to not only take action-shooting, but also to record traffic on 3 lanes. In addition, the camera has night vision option, so you can use it not only in daylight conditions. The infrared LEDs with manual and automatic control modes are provided for night shooting. Unfortunately, there is no stabilization.
SJCAM A10 provides video recording in following resolutions:
- 1080p (1920×1080) – 30fps;
- 720p (1280×720) – 60 fps;
- 720p (1280×720) – 30 fps;
- VGA (640×480) – 240 fps.
The video is recorded in AVI format, and the video compression format is H.264. The photos are taken in JPG format and resolution of 12, 10, 8, 5, 3, 2 (HD), 1.3 MP, and VGA.
SJCAM A10: Connectivity
In addition to the modern processor and high-quality sensor from Sony, SJCAM A10 action camera has quite good additional functionality. First of all, the device is equipped with a remote control and a laser coordinate system. The latter allows to set and focus the camera to determine the location. For communication, there is USB Type-C and HDMI. In addition, the camera has wireless connection via Wi-Fi.
As for operating systems, SJCAM A10 supports Windows XP2 and higher, MAC OS x 10.4.11 and higher, as well as smartphones running Android from 4.1, iOS from 8.0 and tablets with the Wi-Fi module.
SJCAM A10 is equipped with dual stereo microphone with noise reduction. It is used for:
- Primary for receiving the target voice.
- Optional for receiving background noise (built-in from the side).
When the sound enter microphone, the signals are converted, and then software reduces noise, so the sound becomes more clear.
In addition, SJCAM A10 has a motion detection option that is useful for car protection in a parking lot. As soon as motion is detected, recording is started.
It is also important that interface of action camera supports 17 languages, including English, Spanish, and Russian. In addition, the user can share footage in social networks.
SJCAM A10: Pros, cons and price
Right now we have information only from manufacturer, not from real users. However, we can say that SJCAM A10 has following pros: battery life, protected case, Sony sensor and even low price. Among the cons we can note the lack of stabilization.

SJCAM A10 is multifunctional and interesting body camera with the functions of action camera. You can fix it on the windshield, on clothes, on a backpack, on a bicycle, on a helmet, and on anything!
