SAVADECK E0 First REVIEW: The Lightest Electric Bike in 2019!
Today we discovered a new electric bike from SAVADECK company under the name of SAVADECK E0. The manufacturer specializes in production of various bicycles: urban, mountain, folding, electric, etc.
The new SAVADECK E0 bike has a folding carbon design, ultra-light weight, mileage up to 25 km, maximum speed of 25 km per hour and IP67 water protection.
The manufacturer says that the new electric bike is designed and assembled by hand in Germany. The main task of engineers was to create an ultra-lightweight electric bike for daily riding through the city.
By the way, we recently wrote an article about TOP 10 electric bikes in 2019. We wonder if the new SAVADECK E0 will be able to compete with Chinese electric bikes from our list.

SAVADECK E0: Design
The new SAVADECK electric bike looks very simple, but stylish. Because of the low frame and small wheels it seems that SAVADECK E0 is designed for children and teenagers. But it is not so.
The maximum load weight of the bike is 120 kg. The seat is adjustable in height. It means that a teenager or adult can ride a SAVADECK E0. The manufacturer reports that a bicycle is recommended for use by people of 140-176 cm height.
The body of the new bike is made of aluminum alloy and carbon. It is a light but wear-resistant material.
The design of new electric bike is folding – the steering wheel and frame are folded – so SAVADECK E0 is very convenient to store at home or carry in your hands, for example, when you go into public transport.
The main feature of this electric bike is its weight – only 12 kg. It’s probably the lightest electric bike we’ve ever seen. You can easily pick up your SAVADECK E0 bike and put it in the elevator or in the trunk of the car.
The bike comes in three color options: black, gray and red.
SAVADECK E0 is equipped with 14-inch tires. A removable lithium-ion battery is located above the rear wheel.
On the left side of the wheel is a small LCD display. It shows the speed, time, distance, riding mode and battery level.
Above the front wheel there is a small LED flashlight. It is good that the manufacturer has not forgotten about lantern, because it is very important for the safe riding.
SAVADECK E0: Specifications
The electric bike is powered by 250W motor. It allows you to accelerate speed up to 25 km per hour. However, the maximum speed depends on the user’s weight, road surface and tilt level.
By the way, the motor is equipped with a double Hall sensor, which ensures low noise level.
SAVADECK E0 supports 5 riding modes. It can also ride up to 15 degrees on a slope. If the climb is too high, you can select a pedal mode and turn it yourself to climb the hill.
The new electric bike is equipped with Samsung battery with a capacity of 10.4 mAh. The battery has an intelligent overload protection system.
On a single battery charge, an electric bike can ride up to 25 km. Yes, the battery is not too large, but most likely, the manufacturer had to make a compromise to reduce the weight of the bike.
We think 25 kilometers is enough to get around the city every day: to a shop, office, school or gym.
As we wrote earlier, the battery of SAVADECK E0 is removable, which is very convenient. You don’t need to bring the bike at home or to the office to charge the battery. Just remove the battery and leave the bike outside.
It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the battery.
SAVADECK E0 is also protected from water and dust by IP67. This bike can be used in rainy or wet weather, and it is not afraid to ride in puddles and dirt.
SAVADECK E0: Price and buy
You can already buy an electric bike SAVADECK E0 at a price of $1499. This is a great bike for daily trips around the city. It is lightweight, quite fast and has a folding design.
However, we think that $1499 is too high price for an electric bike. For just $750 you can buy Xiaomi HIMO C20 with similar features. Another Chinese bike – Ziyoujiguang T18 – costs only $455, while the price of popular CityMantiS F16 Plus is $599.
We hope that soon the price of SAVADECK E0 will drop to $800. Otherwise, we don’t see the point in buying this electric bike, because you can get the other bike at half the price.
