Jumper EZbook S4 First REVIEW: Metal Body, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD – only $359?

The Chinese manufacturers often use design solutions of world-famous brands, such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, etc. From other side, the Chinese gadgets have one big advantage – they are much cheaper. Recently, Jumper released its new compact laptops, which looks like Apple MacBook.

In fact, it is popular design among Chinese laptops, because it looks really beautiful and it has compact size. In other words, it is perfect for both study and work. Jumper company decided to keep up with its competitors and introduced its new compact laptop called Jumper EZbook S4.

EZbook S4 is equipped with 14-inch Full HD display, quad-core Gemini Lake N4100 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal memory and 4600mAh battery.

If you are interested in price, then you should note that from January 2 to January 6, new Jumper laptop is available on discounted price – only $359, instead of $515.

In this article we will make the first review of Jumper EZbook S4 laptop. In coming days we’ll try to get this laptop for full review and test.

Jumper EZbook S4: Design

New laptop has received full metal case. Jumper EZbook S4 comes in a stylish silver color; only the bezels around the display are black. The device is compact. Its length is 328 mm, width – 215 mm and thickness – 15 mm. The weight is only 1.25 kg. This means that new Jumper laptop is perfect for carrying in backpack or bag.

The top cover has a matte surface. There is only Jumper company logo on it. Opening the laptop, we see 14-inch screen with Full HD resolution, 1920 x 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio is 16:9. The display has rich colors and high definition.

Jumper EZbook S4 has thin bezels around the screen – only 8 mm. They are really thin compared to other laptops.

The keyboard is full-sized, and it is also silver. Closer to the screen we see several LED indicators and microphone. The touchpad is not too big here, but comfortable. The control buttons are built-in.

As for the ports and connectors, there are 3.5 mm audio jack, a USB 2.0 port and a slot for Micro SD card on the right side. Also, you can find HDMI connector, USB 3.0 and DC port on the left side.

As usual, the laptop has four small rubber feet to prevent the laptop from sliding on the surface. There are also two speakers on the sides and ten bolts around the perimeter.

The package contents is standard for Chinese laptops: you will receive Jumper EZbook S4 laptop, power adapter, charging cable and user manual in English.

Jumper EZbook S4: Performance

The laptop runs on quad-core Intel Celeron Gemini Lake N4100 processor with a clock frequency of 1.1 GHz. It uses Intel UHD Graphics 600 graphics. Jumper EZbook S4 is available in single version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD. However, you can use microSD memory card up to 128GB, if the internal memory is not enough for you.

EZbook S4 easily copes with any daily tasks, plays video in high resolution and does not slow down with a high number of Google Chrome tabs.

In Geekbench performance test, the laptop scores 1796 points in single-core test, and 5275 points in multi-core test. As for the wireless connection, that is dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4 GHz/5.0 GHz and Bluetooth 4.2.

The laptop has a typical 2-megapixels front camera. Of course, it is not for taking photos, because the image quality is quite low. But it is great for communication via Skype or other apps.

As we wrote earlier, EZbook S4 is equipped with two speakers at the bottom of the case. They provide loud and clear sound. They are very good for watching movies and listeting to music.

Jumper EZbook S4: Battery

Jumper EZbook S4 has 4600mAh built-in battery, which is enough for 7-8 hours of battery life at maximum screen brightness. However, if you reduce the display brightness, then you can use the laptop as much as 10-12 hours. This is an excellent result, especially if you often have to work on trips.

It  takes about two hours for full charge.

Jumper EZbook S4: Price

So, we made the first review of new Jumper EZbook S4 laptop. It received a very convenient compact design, high-quality 14-inch Full HD screen, a good processor, a lot of memory and great battery life of about 10 hours.

It is very good deal, especially for the price of $359. However, the price will be valid only until January 6. So, if you are interested in this laptop, we recommend to hurry up!
