JMGO N7 Projector REVIEW: Main Features & Compare with Xgimi H2
Recently, JMGO company presented its new product in the world of projectors, which was called JMGO N7. New projector allows you to enjoy your favorite movies and even listen to music anytime and anywhere.
The projector has a native resolution of 1920×1080 Full HD, but it supports 4K. Bright LED lamps are used as the light source, while their service life is more than 30.000 hours. Let’s make first review of new projector JMGO N7.

JMGO N7: Design
The projector has a familiar appearance – a rectangular shape and small dimensions. It is gray with black accents. On the side faces are speakers that allow you to use the projector without external amplifiers.
On the front panel is a lens and power indicator. The lens is closed with a retractable cover, which automatically opens when the projector is turned on. The control is touch, so the device can be turned on without a remote control.
On the bottom are four legs, while in the center is a hole for mounting a tripod. The rear panel contains all necessary connectors: USB 3.0, USB 2.0, SPDIF, Ethernet port, DC port, HDMI, AV and 3.5mm audio jack for connecting an external sound system. Another half of the rear panel is occupied by holes for cooling.
The size of the project is quite small: 19.20 x 19.20 x 11.00 cm and weight 1.8 kg.
The package includes the projector itself, power adapter, charging cable and Bluetooth remote control. There is also a user manual in English.
The remote control connects to the projector via Bluetooth. It has all the necessary keys for comfortable control of the projector. The number of buttons is small; it’s easy to understand how to use it. The remote control is powered by two AAA battery.
JMGO N7: Functions
The device works on Amlogic T968 quad-core processor and Android 5.1 operating system. Also, there is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
The light source is LEDs with a brightness of 1300 ANSI lumens, which will provide you with a bright and clear picture even in daytime. The manufacturer promises that LED lamps will serve you up to 30.000 hours. This is almost 10 years of use for 8 hours a day!
The projector can make an image with a diagonal from 50 to 300-inches at 4K resolution. The multimedia projector is connected via Wi-Fi to both the Internet and smartphone or tablet. Minimum distance from the projector to the wall is 1 meter, while the maximum – 5 meters.
JMGO N7 supports auto focus technology. It will provide comfortable work and stable image quality. The contrast ratio from 8000:1 to 9000:1 will provide a clear image in daytime.
The projector has 3D mode, but you will need a special glasses. The quality of the image is superb. Since the 3D glasses have a bandwidth of 38-40%, the brightness is noticeably reduced, but it is enough for home movie watching.
The sound quality is excellent. By the way, JMGO N7 can be used as a regular wireless speaker. To do this, just close the lens cover and connect the projector to the smartphone via Wi-Fi.
Using an HDMI cable, the projector can be connected to the gaming console, such as Xbox and PlayStation, and you can enjoy the game on large screen.
JMGO N7: Using
When first turned on, the projector shows a blurred image, however after a while the automatic change of sharpness begins. You will have tips how to adjust the projector. You will be offered several steps of initial setup: Wi-Fi connection, setting time and language. After that, the projector shows the desktop.
In the settings menu, you will get access to Wi-Fi connection, file manager and a firmware update. Web Browse offers several popular pages. True, there is no Google Play Store among them, although it is installed in system. To open Google Play Store, you will need to enter Google search, find any application and you will be asked to open it using Play Store.
File Manager allows you to manage files on all connected devices.
As for the sound, in the settings you can choose the sound source: built-in speakers or optical output SPDIF. When Bluetooth speakers are connected, the sound will automatically switch from the internal speakers to the external.
The projection settings allows selecting LED mode: Movie mode, presentation, dynamic or custom mode. The function of 45-degree keystone correction corrects keystone distortion when the projector is installed horizontally and vertically.
The projector works quietly; the noise level is only 32 dB.

Above you can compare the image quality of JMGO N7 and its competitor Xgimi H2. Although Xgimi H2 is more expensive, its image quality is worse than our hero. As you can see, JMGO N7 has a more natural color rendition, while Xgimi H2 has a slightly yellow tint.
Conclusion
JMGO N7 has excellent specifications and features. The projector has a wide color gamut, good color temperature stability, and evenness of the light flux.
The projector can be recommended for home cinema or used for office or college presentations. Now the price of projector JMGO N7 is $849.
