Haylou GT1 Plus First REVIEW: Sound Quality Is Better Now!

Over the past month, we have already written twice about Haylou wireless earbuds. You can read about Haylou GT1 Pro wireless earbuds, their comparison with Haylou GT1, as well as new generation of Haylou GT2 earphones.

A couple of days ago, the Chinese company Haylou announced the release of another wireless earbuds – Haylou GT1 Plus. The earphone series consist of Haylou GT1, Haylou GT1 Pro and Haylou GT1 Plus. It is pretty easy to get confused, right?

Let’s look at specifications and features of Haylou GT1 Plus, and then find out how they differ from previous models.

Haylou GT1 Plus: Design

The appearance of the new Haylou GT1 Plus earbuds has not changed from the previous version of Haylou GT1. Wireless earphones have in-ear form of black matte plastic.

Each earphone weighs 3.9 grams. As our full review of Haylou GT1 showed, they are very lightweight and comfortable even during extended use.

Each earbud has a built-in microphone, LED indicator and magnetic connectors for charging.

The control on Haylou GT1 Plus earphones have also not changed. You can play, stop and switch tracks using the touch panels on each of earbuds.

To be honest, we prefer the control via physical buttons, like Haylou GT2. However, this is a matter of taste and habit.

Now let’s look at charging case. Unlike previous Haylou GT1 Pro, the new Haylou GT1 Plus earbuds do not have LED indicators on charging case.

It seems that Haylou GT1 Plus completely replicates the design of the earbuds and charging case of Haylou GT1.

Haylou GT1 Plus: Specifications

As for the technical specifications, there are many changes here.

The new Haylou GT1 Plus wireless earbuds received the new Qualcomm QCC3020 processor. Earlier, we met this processor only in more expensive earphones.

The chipset is more powerful and better than Realtek, which is used in previous Haylou earphones. Qualcomm processor also has better energy-efficiency. This affects on battery life.

The new Haylou wireless earphones have new APTX decoding and two HD AAC speakers.

Haylou GT1 Plus offers clear and loud sound no matter what genre of music you like.

Haylou GT1 Plus: Battery

The battery capacity in Haylou GT1 Plus charging case is 310mAh. Each earbud has 43mAh battery. There are no changes compared to Haylou GT1.

But, to our surprise, the battery life of the new earbuds has increased significantly. As we said, the new Qualcomm processor has better energy efficiency than Realtek.

On a single charge, Haylou GT1 Plus last up to 5 hours. Using a charging case, the battery life is increased to 18 hours.

Haylou GT1 Plus: Price and Buy

The sale of the new Haylou GT1 Plus wireless earbuds will begin on December 2, 2019. Unfortunately, the price is still unknown. But we think that earbuds will cost no more than $25.

It can be said that the new Haylou GT1 Plus wireless earphones are an improved version of Haylou GT1 with an identical design, charging case and control. However, GT1 Plus received better processor, better dynamics and longer battery life.
