Foxconn replace workers with 60,000 robots

Foxconn, which is considered one of China’s largest electronics manufacturers, whose clients including American Apple’s, replaced the 60 thousand of its workers at a factory in Kunshan (Kunshan) robots that perform repetitive tasks.

As a result, the number of staff Foxconn factory in Kunshan, fell from the previous 110 thousand to 50 thousand people. And in the South China Morning Post explains that similar plans are in robotics production of 600 high-tech companies located in the Chinese province.

The cost of robots is much higher than the salary of the workers. However, the introduction of such systems allows to minimize future costs of companies and ensure stable production value of robotic production. Not to mention the fact that ordinary workers often make mistakes that affect the quality of the products. A car is almost devoid of this shortcoming and operate in strict accordance with the specified program.

But technology companies is difficult to refrain from such innovations because of the great advantages of robots in front of people performing simple repetitive tasks.

The sources did not explain how products are manufactured at Foxconn factory in Kunshan. But last year the company in the province produced about 51 million notebooks and 20 million smartphones.
