Beyonce criticized. Performance at the Grammys 2014 too hot
Organizations that deal with the control of the content presented on television, have expressed outrage at the “too hot” performance of Beyonce and Jay Z at the Grammys in 2014.
Beyonce and Jay-Z sang together the song “Drunk in Love” at the start of the Grammys. The singer was wearing a very skimpy outfit: tights and mesh body with a tight cut panties. In many moments of choreography was arranged so that Beyonce has presented himself astride. All captured camera. The transmission of the performance took place at 20:00. This season was by some way too early.
Melissa Henson of the Parents Television Council USA (an organization that analyzes whether the content on TV are suitable for minors) stated that Beyonce performance too much and suggested that modern pop culture increasingly begins to resemble pornography. – When I was little, such as the Grammy ceremonies could be seen without the risk that we will see something inappropriate. Those days are sadly gone – Henson confessed in an interview with Yahoo Music.
Vivienne Pattison of Mediawatch-UK organization in an interview with the “Daily Mail” admitted: – Beyonce is wearing a very skimpy outfit while her husband, Jay Z, is in a suit. If women and girls are presented solely as sex objects, not people with many interests, talents and identity as boys and men have to look at? Just as sexual objects …
Outrage also appeared among ordinary viewers on Twitter. “Beyonce, really? Is 20:00. This performance was definitely not appropriate for this time. Shame on you” or “I’m sorry Beyonce, but class always wins! At least for our children. Sad times when our children can not watch the Grammys” – Here are some of the entries on the social networking site.
Beyonce, however, has no reason to worry: hot performance of the gala created great enthusiasm among other things, among other celebrities. Lena Dunham, known for the TV series “Girls,” she wrote on Twitter: “Damn, Beyonce, not even you’re a woman – you are the world, you are a goddess.”
