Alfawise is a young Chinese manufacturer that produces all kind of devices, from smart sockets to robot vacuum cleaners, electric bikes and 3D printers.
I recently found a very usefuldevice for every resident of the metropolis. If you live in a city, thenthe air is probably not very clean. Of course, you can wear a mask onyour face outside, but it is not very comfortable. However, ifyou work in an office or spend a lot of time at home, then you need an airpurifier.
Alfawise P2 is the second generation of air purifier from the Chinese manufacturer. The first version of air purifier had a different design and fewer functions. The new Alfawise P2 air purifier has 3-layer filter system, Wi-Fi connection and control by smartphone app, 3 wind speeds and low noise.
By the new, the new air purifierfrom Alfawise is a winner of IF Design Award 2019. That sounds very impressive,doesn’t it?

Alfawise P2 Video Review
Unboxing
Alfawise P2 comes in a quite big cardboard box, because the air purifier itself is not small.
Inside the box, you will find only air purifier and user manual. The power cable is not removable, and it is built into device.
That is a quick unboxing!
Design
Alfawise P2 air purifier received a new design. The previous version had a square case with air input holes on the top.
Talking about new air purifier, ithas a round body and smooth edges. To be honest, I do not know why themanufacturer changed the design or which one is better. Anyway, Alfawise P2looks very nice.
It is made of white plastic with black control panel and air output holes on the top.
The lower part is removable, andthere is a HEPA filter inside.
Before using Alfawise P2, you have to open the compartment at the bottom, and remove air purifier from its packaging.
Alfawise P2 uses three-layer HEPA filter. You have to replace it every 4-6 months. The filter is sold on GearBest for $15. We will talk about three layers of filter a little later.
The control panel four touch buttons: power, wind speed, timer and backlight. The new air purifier from Alfawise has three air speeds: high, medium and low. There are almost two timer options: 4 hours and 2 hours.
You can tap on the light bulb toincrease or decrease the lamp brightness.
Specifications & Main Features
I will tell you a little about the specifications and main features of Alfawise P2. The new air purifier from Alfawise is available in two versions: Wi-Fi and Air Monitor.
I have Wi-Fi version, so I cancontrol the air purifier through mobile app and even voice.
The air monitor version has afunction of air quality monitor. The air purifier does not say details aboutair quality, but it breathes green color when the air is good, yellow –moderate and red – when the air is bad.
Unfortunately, Alfawise P2 does notshow the level of pollution, amount of harmful particles in the air, RM2.5 index,etc. If you want to know this information, you need to buy a special device forair quality monitor.
I have Wi-Fi version of AlfawiseP2, and it does not have air monitor function at all. You does not say about cleanor dirty air. It just blows dirty air through a filter and makes it clean.
Both Wi-Fi and Air Monitor versionshave air clean delivery rate of 110m³/h. The purification are is up to 20 squaremeters.
As I already said, air purifierfrom Alfawise has three wind levels: high, medium and low. The noise level isfrom 30 to 50 dB.
Now, let me tell you about filter. Alfawise P2 filter has three layers: primary layer to clean the air from hair, dust and floating particles; H11 HEPA Filter from PM2.5, Pollen, Ped Dander and Bacteria; Activate carbon from formaldehyde, smoke, cooking odors and volatile gas.
This way, dirty air passes throughthree layers of filter and you breathe clean and fresh air.
As I already said, I have Wi-Fiversion of Alfawise P2, so let’s connect it to smartphone.
How to Connect Alfawise P2 to Smartphone
First, you need to download the appfrom Play Store or App Store. The app is called Smart Life – Smart Living.
The app interface and mainfunctions are very similar to Xiaomi Mi Home.
When you first open the app, youhave to create account.
Then, Add device, and choose Auto Scan. After few seconds, you will see Air Purifier on the screen.
Wait a little, and Alfawise P2 willbe connected to your smartphone.
Smart Life App
Actually, the app on smartphone does not have any new functions. All the same functions on control panel of air purifier. Here you can power on/off the air purifier, select the wind speed level, countdown timer and timer.
In the Personal center, you canchoose profile photo, nickname, temperature unit and city.
One of the main features of AlfawiseP2 Wi-Fi version is voice control. You can use Alexa and Google Assistant tocontrol the air purifier by voice commands.
Conclusion
Alfawise P2 is one the most affordable air purifiers on the market. The price is only $79. Yeah, it is cheap, but it does a great job of cleaning up the air. The three-layer filter removes almost all known contaminants, including dust, allergen, odors, etc.
I also like the mobile app andvoice control support. However, the app does not offer any new functions thatare not available on control panel of air purifier.
Perhaps the only disadvantage of AlfawiseP2 air purifier is the lack of built-in air quality monitor. I cannotknow what quality of air I have at home, and if I should use an air purifier. Ihave to buy a separate device for air monitor.
