Cash costs of U.S. unexpectedly fell

Costs of the U.S. population in April 2013 fell unexpectedly by 0.1 % compared with the previous month , the index declined for the first year. This was reported in the U.S. Department of Commerce report .

Income Americans , in turn, increased by 0.3%.

Meanwhile, experts interviewed by Bloomberg, predicted revenue growth of 0.3% , expenses – by 0.2%.

According to revised data in March Americans spending growth was 1% and not 0.9 % as previously reported . Incomes of the population have not been revised in March , they increased by 0.5%.

Index (Personal Consumption Expenditures, Excluding Food & Energy), which uses the Fed’s risk assessment of inflation rose in April by 0.2 % compared with the previous month and 1.4 % year on year . Both figures are in line with the forecast of experts.

Savings rate (salaries and wages ) in April rose by 0.4 pp to 4%. Costs after adjusting for inflation rose 0.2 %.
