Bulgaria: good direction on holiday?
Bulgaria, apart from the beautiful and famous beaches have to offer something more: a wealth of cultural and natural heritage and valued SPA centers Bulgaria started in Poland campaign to promote the country’s tourist offer, encouraging them to explore previously unknown wider interest in the country and share their findings and experiences with others. The campaign slogan is: “Bulgaria – share your experiences.” In addition to the sunny beaches, is also presented unique nature of Bulgaria, vacation in the resorts spa and rich history of this country, dating back to the times of the Thracians, Romans, Byzantines and Prabułgarów.
The campaign ads will appear in newspapers and on the Internet, radio spots and outdoor advertising in four major Polish cities (Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and Wroclaw). PR agency is Sigma International (Poland). The campaign will last until the end of 2014
The fact that it is worth to visit this beautiful sunny country could see representatives of the media and tour operators during a press conference in the Bulgarian Institute of Culture. Angel Angelov, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Poland, assured that Poland is an important market for the Bulgarian tourism industry: – You Bulgarian and Bulgarian tourist industry are strongly interested in cooperation with Polish partners. We also make every effort to best accommodate Polish tourists.
In contrast, Anelia Genova, Director of Marketing, Promotion and Information Desk at the Ministry of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria, spoke about a new campaign to promote the tourist offer of Bulgaria: – We want to show that Bulgaria is still as hospitable and that has a lot of attractive tourist proposals, regardless of the season. This year we expect approximately 6% increase in the number of foreign tourists, including Polish, Great Britain, Germany and Russia.

Promotion of Bulgaria in Poland is part of a larger campaign involving six European countries: Poland, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and Sweden. The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The tourism industry is one of the most important sectors of the Bulgarian economy. In 2013 adopted 7,000,000 tourists, with revenues of more than € 3 billion and generating 13.6% of GDP. According to forecasts by the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Energy, and analysts from Morgan Stanley in the next few years, the tourism industry generates 18% of GDP, а to 2020 the number of tourists exceeds 9.5 million people.
