Roborock H6 or Roidmi NEX 2 Pro: Which Vacuum Cleaner is Better?
In a previous article I said that Xiaomi’s sub-brand Roborock produces robot vacuum cleaners, while Roidmi releases handheld wireless vacuum cleaners. Actually, Roborock also makes handheld cordless vacuum cleaners, and the latest model is Roborock H6.
I am interested in which handheld vacuum cleaner is better: Roborock H6 or Roidmi NEX 2 Pro? Both of them were released in 2020, and they have about the same price. Let’s compare the key features and functions of the two wireless vacuum cleaners.
By the way, I want to draw your attention to the fact that Roidmi NEX 2 Pro and Roidmi NEX 2 are practically the same vacuum cleaners. The only differences are the case color and LCD or OLED display. The PRO version has OLED display.

New Wireless Handheld Vacuum Cleaners
As I said, Roborock H6 and Roidmi NEX 2 Pro are wireless handheld vacuum cleaners. They have a built-in battery, dust box and various accessories such as nozzles, brushes, pipes, etc.
Package contents
If we talk about package contents and accessories, it’s even hard to tell which vacuum cleaner offers more brushes and nozzles. As you can see on the image above, Roborock H6 has a floor brush, carpet brush, dust brush, mini brush with motor, slot cleaning tool and flexible pipe. The hard metal pipe is also available.
Roidmi NEX 2 Pro has almost the same package contents (the image above), but it offers a water tank. Yes, Roidmi NEX 2 Pro has a wet cleaning function, so you can not only vacuum, but also wash floors.
As far as I understand, Roborock H6 has no floor cleaning or wet cleaning function. This is the first major difference between Roborock H6 and Roidmi NEX 2 Pro.
Dust box capacity
Another important difference is the capacity of dust box. Again, Roidmi beats its competitor Roborock because Roidmi NEX 2 Pro has dust box of 0.55 liters, while the dust box of Roborock H6 has a capacity of 0.4 liters.
To be honest, Roidmi NEX 2 Pro looks more compact, so I was surprised that this vacuum cleaner has a bigger bust box.
OLED display
Both new handheld vacuum cleaners have OLED displays. They show almost the same information such as cleaning mode, suction power, battery level, etc.
However, I think the display is located better on Roborock H6 vacuum cleaner – on the handle. The screen on Roidmi NEX 2 Pro is a little further away from the handle, so you need to lift the vacuum cleaner to see the display.
Motor and suction power
Okay, let’s finally move on to the specs comparison. Roborock H6 has a more powerful motor than Roidmi NEX 2 Pro. Roborock’s handheld vacuum cleaner has 450W motor, while the new Roidmi comes with 150W motor.
Oddly enough, Roidmi NEX 2 Pro has even more suction power than Roborock H6 – 26500 Pa (26.5KPa) and 25000 Pa (25KPa), respectively. In theory, Roidmi NEX 2 Pro should suck the garbage better.
Battery capacity and Battery life
The battery capacity of Roborock H6 is 3610 mAh. The manufacturer claims that the vacuum cleaner works up to 90 minutes in eco mode, and 10 minutes in maximum mode.
The Roidmi NEX 2 Pro has 2500 mAh battery, and it provides up to 70 minutes of battery life. That’s enough to clean a 450 square meter room.
Both vacuum cleaners support wireless charging.
Noise level
Roidmi NEX 2 Pro has a maximum noise level of 77 dB, while Roborock H6 makes up to 72 dB. I don’t think you’ll notice the big difference in noise level between these vacuum cleaners.
App Support
It seems that Roborock H6 does not connect to smartphone through a special application. At least I didn’t find any information about it.
As for Roidmi NEX 2 Pro, it has Bluetooth and connects to mobile devices. In the app you can see the battery level, select the cleaning mode, monitor the cleaning time and so on.
Price and Buy
As for the price, Roidmi NEX 2 Pro is a little cheaper – $380. Basic version of Roidmi NEX 2, which has exactly the same specs and functions as Pro version, but LCD display, costs only $295.
Roborock H6 costs a bit more expensive than Roidmi NEX 2 Pro – $449.
Which One Would I Buy: Roborock H6 or Roidmi NEX 2 Pro?
If you are interested in my opinion, I would buy Roidmi NEX 2 Pro, because it has better design (for me), higher suction power (26.5Kpa), bigger dust box (0.55 liters), wet cleaning function, Bluetooth support and smartphone connection, and lower price.
However, I want to draw your attention to the fact that I am only comparing the specifications and features of Roidmi NEX 2 Pro and Roborock H6. I have not tested these handheld vacuum cleaners in real life, so I cannot share my own experience. Perhaps Roborock H6 is more comfortable to use and better vacuuming. Maybe not. We find out this only after real tests and reviews.
