Realme 3 Will Be The Next Smartphone With 48 Megapixel Camera

Not so long ago, Xiaomi released new smartphone Redmi Note 7. One of the main feature of this mobile device is 48MP camera. Redmi Note 7 is actively promoted in India, but in European countries it will be available in coming weeks or even months.

India is a priority market for another young brand Realme, which is the sub-brand of Oppo. Just the day after the announcement of Redmi Note 7, we received the first leaks and reports about Realme 3. Looking ahead to say that specifications of upcoming smartphone will be very interesting, while the price will make you think about buying it.

Realme 3: Design

Realme 3 is already preparing for release. Recently, the head of OPPO company said that they are working on smartphone with 48-megapixel camera. The design of new phone is unlikely to be radically different from the previous Realme devices.

Most likely, it will get a water-drop notch, 80% of screen to body ratio, a glass back panel and dual camera. There are no reliable renders of Realme 3 yet. There are only concepts, but we cannot believe them. However, the design of Realme 3 is not its feature.  Realme smartphones have an excellent price-performance ratio.

Realme 3: Performance

If you believe the rumors, the specifications of Realme 3 should not disappoint fans of a young brand. The smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Helio P60 processor. It is designed for a mid-range smartphone.

MediaTek Helio P60 is built on 12-nm process technology and uses two-cluster structure. Four cores belong to the high-performance ARM Cortex-A73 architecture, while  the rest are less productive, but the low-cost Cortex-A53 are responsible for undemanding tasks.

The processor provides not only good performance, but also solves other problems. For example, Helio P60 includes dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, a navigation system with support for GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and LTE-modem satellites.

Also, MediaTek Helio P60 has a dedicated unit, which is responsible for machine learning.

As you can see, MediaTek Helio P60 is a modern technical solution. As for memory, everything is quite standard. Realme 3 will be available in two modifications – 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB. The smartphone will run on Android 9.0 Pie with a new version of ColorOS 5.2 user interface.

Realme 3: Camera

Realme 3 will be the next smartphone with 48-megapixel camera. Samsung will kindly provide sensor for the Chinese company. In fact, Realme 3 will have 12 megapixel sensor, but the pixels will be merged so that the image will be detailed at 48 megapixels. Scientifically, this process is called interpolation. So, 48 megapixel camera in Realme 3 will be awesome.

The resolution of the front camera will be 16 megapixels. It will also support face unlock function.

Realme 3: Battery

One of the main feature of upcoming smartphone should be wireless and fast charging. The technology is called VOOC, which is patented fast charging from OPPO. It allows the company’s phones to support fast charging of 20 watts. The battery itself will have a capacity of 3500mAh.

Realme 3: Release Date and Price

The leaks say that Realme 3 will go on sale in February 2019. Most likely, it will be presented at MWC 2019 exhibition. The appearance on the international electronics exhibition would be useful for a young brand.

The official price of Realme 3 is not yet known, but it is unlikely to exceed $150. We look forward to the release of new smartphone.
