The Chinese company Xiaomi continues to release new devices for smart home. In early January, Xiaomi announced its new compact LED projector called Xiaomi Mi Home Projector Lite. It is also called Xiaomi Mijia Projector Youth Version.

Xiaomi Mijia Projector Youth Version: Design
New Xiaomi projector looks very nice. To be honest, it doesn’t even look like regular projector. Xiaomi Mi Home Lite has a rectangular shape and rounded corner. Its height is 15 cm, while the weight is only 1.3 kg. The projector is very compact and will easily fit even on a small table or shelf. It is available in white matte color, while the front panel is black.
On the front panel we see the projector lens, and below is the small company logo. The speaker grid is located on the right and left sides. The power button is on the top panel.
Now let’s see what connectors and ports are there. On the rear panel we can find HDMI, USB 3.0, AUX and 3.5 mm audio jacks for headphones. The top of the back panel is occupied by the cooling system grid.
The projector stands on four small rubber feet. They prevent from slipping and scratching the surface.
The package contents of Xiaomi Mi Home Lite include the projector itself, a power adapter, a remote control, and a user manual.
In general, it is a very interesting compact device. The projector will easily become part of any interior and you will not need a lot of space to place it.

Unfortunately, the specifications are not yet fully known, but we still have some information about its features. Xiaomi Mi Home Lite will be able to project an image size from 40 to 200-inches. However, the manufacturer does not recommend exceeding the size of the image above 120-inches, because this negatively affects the picture quality.
If you want to get 120-inch image, you have to place the projector at a distance of 3 meters from the wall. If you put the projector at a distance of 2.5 meters, then get 100-inches. Well, if you have a room of no more than 2 meters in size, the image will be 80-inches.
The brightness is 500 ANSI lumens. It is higher than many of other competitors in this price category. There is also support for HDR10 technology.
Xiaomi Mijia Projector Youth Version has a native resolution of Full HD, 1920 × 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio is 1:2:1. The manufacturer promises a bright, clear and rich picture.
Just like many other Xiaomi smart TVs or TV Boxes, the projector runs on MIUI TV operating system. There is support for voice control called Intelligent voice control. This feature will make using the projector easier and more comfortable. Also, you can use the remote control.
As for sound, the new projector from Xiaomi 2019 is equipped with dual built-in two-inch speakers. They have a power of 10 watts. In addition, there is support for Dolby Audio and DTS technology. The speakers is able to give deep bass and high, sonorous tops. They provide you great sound while watching movies and playing games.
Also, we know the service life of LED lamps. It will be up to 30000 hours. This is almost 10 years of using the projector, if you will use it for eight hours every day. Excellent result!
Of course, there is support for dual Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
