Oukitel K7 Power Review In-Depth: Is 10000mAh Battery The Only Feature?
Oukitel is the Chinese manufacturer, which specializes in production of smartphones with large batteries. We already wrote about Oukitel WP2 with 10000mAh battery. In this article, we want to talk about another big battery smartphone called Oukitel K7 Power. This is a budget smartphone with standard specifications for its price, but one interesting feature – 10000mAh battery.
Oukitel K7 Power is the younger model of Oukitel K7, which also has 10000mAh battery, but much better specifications and higher price.
Is the battery the only feature of Oukitel K7 Power? We will find out it after the review. Below you can find link where to buy the smartphone cheaper.

Unboxing
We received the smartphone in a big white box. There is only company logo Oukitel on the front side. On the back, you can find main specifications, IMEI and other details about smartphone.
The package content is quite rich, as for the budget phone. There is silicone protective case, power adapter, USB cable, user manual in English, SIM needle and even OTG adapter. As you understand, Oukitel K7 Power supports OTG, so you can connect computer mouse, keyboard or flash drive to the smartphone.
Design
The first thing I noticed when received Oukitel K7 Power is that the smartphone is bulky. I asked a few people what they think about Oukitel K7 Power, and all of them had the first thought that this is a rugged smartphone. However, it does not have any IP waterproof standard. It is so big and thick, because of 10000mAh battery.
Not to be unfounded, the smartphone has the dimensions 168 х 78 x 14.5 mm, and weight 303 grams. For example, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with 6.26-inch display is only 157.9 x 76.4 x 8.2 mm.
The smartphone comes in a single color option: black with gold plated lines on the top and bottom of the front panel, and on the back around the main camera.
The manufacturer claims that the rear panel is made of real calf leather. I do not know this is true or not, but it looks and feels very good. In addition, here you can see metal panel with dual camera, flashlight and fingerprint reader.
The power button and volume rocker are on their usual place – on the right side. Also, there is hybrid SIM slot for dual SIM and microSD memory card. The smartphone is equipped with only microUSB port. Fortunately, there is 3.5 mm audio jack.
So, Oukitel K7 Power looks just like Oukitel K7. It has the same dimensions, display size, back panel material, etc. How are they different? Let’s find out.
Display
The first difference between Oukitel K7 and K7 Power is in display. They have the same diagonal – 6 inches, but K7 Power comes with HD+ resolution, 1440 by 720 pixels. The pixel density is quite low – only 268 PPI.
The smartphone has 18:9 aspect ratio, but the bezels around the display, especially on top and bottom, are still thick. The screen to body ratio is about 71%, which is very low for 2018.
From other side, I did not notice any problems with screen. It has high details, good contrast and brightness. The display supports five touches simultaneously.
Hardware
The hardware is another change in Oukitel K7 Power. Yes, it received the same chipset as Oukitel K7, but much less memory. My smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6750T processor with 1.5GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. However, out of the box you will have only 9GB. The other storage is occupied by system files. Fortunately, there is slot for microSD memory cards up to 128GB.
Oukitel K7 Power runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It supports Multilanguage, and Google Services, such as YouTube, Play Store, Maps, etc. This is stock Android without any Chinese apps. User interface runs very well. I did not notice any errors or lags.
However, Oukitel K7 Power is not gaming smartphone. It shows weak results in benchmarks. You can see them on screenshots above. Although the smartphone runs PUBG Mobile, and other heavy games, it lags heavily. The maximum supported graphics in PUBG Mobile is balanced, but it is not comfortable to play. It is better to choose smooth settings.
Camera
The smartphone has dual rear camera. The main sensor is 13MP Sony IMX214 Exmor RS with f/1.8 aperture. The secondary sensor is 2MP. The video is recorded in Full HD resolution. Among other features are dual LED and face recognition.
The front camera has 5MP sensor with f/2.8 aperture. Below you can see real sample photos and videos.
In my opinion, the camera is very weak. I understand that Oukitel K7 Power is a budget smartphone (about $99), and it is not fair to compare with flagships, however Xiaomi budget phones make much better images. The camera is the weak point of this smartphone.
You can watch original photos and video here.
Battery
Finally, the main feature of Oukitel K7 Power. The smartphone is equipped with 10000mAh battery with fast charging support 9V/2A. The company promises 56 hours of battery life in active use, which is very good result.
When I received the smartphone, I fully charged it, and then tested for three days. I played games a little, installed new apps, ran benchmarks and took photos. During this time, the battery level dropped to 39%. Of course, if I played games for hours, then the battery was discharged in one day. However, in active daily use without games, the smartphone is able to work up to 5 days on a single charge.
Connectivity
Oukitel K7 Power has dual SIM card and 4G support. There is Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual band Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz. As I already said, the smartphone supports OTG. There is even OTG cable in the package. You can use Oukitel K7 Power as a power bank to charge other mobile devices.
In addition, the smartphone has all necessary sensors, such as fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, compass, accelerometer, light sensor and proximity.
Conclusion
It seems that my first impression was true about Oukitel K7 Power. The battery is the only highlight of this smartphone. The other specs are entry-level. From other side, we cannot expect more from $99 device.
If you need more powerful smartphone for games, then it is better to choose Oukitel K7. Yes, it is powered by the same chipset as Oukitel K7 Power, but it has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Oukitel K7 Power is good option for those, who need smartphone for calls, messages, social media, and other simple tasks. In this case you will get very good mobile device with amazing battery life!
