Some days ago Xiaomi Black Shark 2 was appeared on the website of the Chinese agency TENAA. So, we already know specifications and features of new smartphone. What makes it different from Black Shark? Let’s try to find out.

Black Shark 2: Performance
If you look at specifications above, you may not notice differences between Black Shark and Black Shark 2. These two devices have exactly the same hardware, except cameras, because we don’t have information about them yet.
Both smartphones have the flagship chipset Snapdragon 845, which provides amazing performance. It works on four Kryo 385 cores with a frequency of up to 2.8 GHz and on four cores with a frequency of up to 1.8 GHz. The RAM also has not changed – 8GB.
Black Shark 2: Features
We would like to answer many questions from users – why it is called gaming smartphone? Yes, there are many flagships on Snapdragon 845 processor, but only few of them have special cooling system. Xiaomi Black Shark is one of them.
The second reason is comfortable design for long playing. We are sure that many of you accidentally press any keys while gameplay. Also, JoyUI operating system has gaming mode, which disables absolutely all butoons. Thereby, it prevents accidental clicks.
Black Shark 2: Display
We are still interested, why has nothing changed? Why the manufacturer hasn’t added 2K resolution or SuperAMOLED panel? Then there would be an incentive to buy new smartphone. However, Black Shark 2 has the same 6-inch display with Full HD resolution, and pixel density of 403ppi. The only thing that pleases is its frequency of 120Hz. It makes the screen much better. The image is smoother, and it will look very good in games.
Black Shark 2: Camera
Talking about camera, we can say nothing, because there is no information about it. But we think that it will be not be changed, because Black Shark 2 is gaming smartphone, not a camera phone.
Black Shark 2: Design
The appearance of Black Shark is stunning and recognizable. Exactly the same as Razer Phone. We have a massive body with a very beautiful back panel with small details.
The front panel has full display. The Home button is located under the screen. It has built-in fingerprint scanner.
However, Black Shark doesn’t have 3.5 mm audio jack. This is one of the main drawback of Xiaomi gaming smartphone. Hope that it will come back in Black Shark 2.
The user can additionally buy gamepad. To be honest, it is absolutely useless and now we will explain why. The game is invented specifically for Black Shark, accordingly, the developer will make games only for one phone. Therefore, it is useless.
Black Shark 2: Release Date and Price
At the moment, we don’t have information about release date of Black Shark 2. But when the next generation will be released, should you buy Black Shark or Black Shark 2? Definitely the second option, since it will be much cheaper than the new smartphone, and there are not very different.
At the moment, the price of Black Shark starts from $400 for the 6GB/64GB version. If you want to get more powerful model with 8GB/128GB, then it will cost you $500. We think it is one of the best smartphones in 2018. It has a great design, high performance and gaming features.
