JDI presented 8K-display with a diagonal of 17.3 inches
The company Japan Display Inc. demonstrated its latest development – a 17.3-inch display with a resolution of 8K-capable to provide incredible detail and lifelike pictures.
Using a low-temperature polysilicon LTPS technology allowed engineers to create a JDI IPS-matrix with a record for its size pixel density of 510 ppi. At a resolution of 7680×4320 pixels whole (about 33.2 M) and 120Hz screen view provides clear images of moving objects without blurring and color distortion. Monitors on the basis of a new 8K-panel ideal for professional photo and video.
According to the Japan Display, ultra-sharp display can also be used in medical and gaming monitors. When do you plan to begin mass production of screens with 8K-resolution, the company did not specify.
