10-core chipset from MediaTek breaks records in Geekbench
On the eve of the database benchmark Geekbench test results were “heroic” smartphone HTC One A9, which is built on the basis of the first on the market 10-core platform MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797). Snared presentation slides chip maker confirmed the superiority of the new processor to the best 8-core solutions.
Prototype HTC One A9 single core scored in Geekbench test 1835 points, and multi-threaded – 5884 points. Approximately the same figures are MediaTek. It is noted that the growth of nuclear power in comparison with the X10 chipset made whole Helio 70%, and when they work in conjunction with each other, Helio X20 shows 15% better performance.
MediaTek Helio X20 is ahead in the tests SoC-chip Samsung Exynos 7420 and even more so Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. The Chinese mobile processor also has a chance to get around the new generation of competing solutions, including the Snapdragon 820 and yet unannounced SoC Exynos 8890.
