But today we want to tell you about the first bezel-less smartphone Vernee Mix 2. We have already talked about this smartphone before. Vernee Mix 2: Packaging
The first pleasant surprise from Vernee Mix 2 is packaging. Here you will find everything you need to use a smartphone, and even more. First, the box is made of strong cardboard. It has a white color and Vernee Mix logo on the front panel. On the back you can read the basic details about smartphone.
Inside the box we see a smartphone in a bag. It has factory films on the front and back panels. We took them off to make it more convenient to use a smartphone.
Under the phone you will find a USB cable, a power adapter, a silicone case, two screen protectors, a SIM needle and a user manual. As you can see, this is really rich package. There are no only headphones, but usually they are of poor quality, so it is not a big loss.
Vernee Mix 2: Design
Design is perhaps the main feature of Vernee Mix 2. First of all, the smartphone has Full Screen or Bezel-Less design. It means that the bezels around the screen are very thin, at least on three sides. Despite the fact that smartphone has large panel under the screen, there is no home button with fingerprint reader.
You should know that front camera is located under the screen. This is not very comfortable, because you will need to turn upside down to make a selfie photo.
Above the screen you can see conversational speaker and LED notification.
The back panel is made of glass. Here is dual camera and LED flashlight in the upper left corner. The fingerprint reader is centered. Also you can see Vernee logo at the bottom. Everything is simple, and nothing superfluous.
By the way, I have a blue version, and it looks amazing!
At the bottom of the phone is a standard microUSB port. It is very pity, there is no USB Type C.
Also Vernee did not abandon 3.5 mm audio jack, which is located at the top.
As usual, the power button and volume rocker are on the right side, and slot for microSD memory card and SIM card is on the left.
Of course, Vernee Mix 2 looks very stylish and premium. Not every budget smartphone has a glass back panel. In addition, bezel-less design provides new impressions from the use of smartphone.

Another great features of Vernee Mix 2 is display. The smartphone comes with 6-inch Full HD+ display. We should note that the size of 6-inch Vernee Mix 2 is almost the same as traditional 5.5-inch smartphone with 16:9 aspect ratio. We already mentioned above, the phone comes with thin bezels, so the manufacturer managed to use such a large screen, but keep the compact size.
Also you need to know that the aspect ratio is 18:9. It means that the smartphone is longer than a regular phone. The manufacturer says that the display occupies 93.7% of the entire front panel. It’s really amazing, and the smartphone looks very nice.
The display is colorful and contrast. Full HD+ resolution makes the text clear and pleasant to read. Maximum brightness allows you to see the screen well in direct sunlight, while the minimum brightness makes it comfortable to use in complete darkness.
Also we should note Vernee Mix 2 is one of the few budget bezel-less phones that comes with Full HD+ screen. Usually, Chinese manufacturers use HD+ resolution for their devices.
Vernee Mix 2: Performance
Despite the fact that Vernee Mix 2 is a budget smartphone, it comes with quite powerful hardware. First, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 processor. This is a mid-range chipset with clock speed up to 2.5 GHz. Also there is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory.
As for user interface, the smartphone works quickly and smoothly. The applications run quickly and start without delay. I did not notice any errors during the launch of applications, such as camera, Google Play Store and others.
As for benchmarks, the result is quite expected for its price category. AnTuTu shows around 80000 points, while GeekBench 4 – 801 points in single core test and 3140 points in multi core test. 3DMark shows 912 points.
We also played a few games, such as Asphalt 8, Mortal Combat X and Minion Rush. They did not run as fast as flagship smartphones, but we did not notice any performance problems. Everything works well and smoothly. P.S. it’s an amazing experience to play on bezel-less screen. I have a feeling that I am completely immersed in the game.
Also we want to note that the phone does not get warm during games. The maximum temperature was about 45 degrees. It is a very good result for a smartphone during games.
Vernee Mix 2: Software
If we talk about software, there are no surprises. Vernee Mix 2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with VOS on top. In fact, we did not notice that VOS user interface is different from stock Android. Among the preinstalled applications we found only DuraSpeed, which allows you to disable background applications and speed up the smartphone.
Vernee Mix 2 comes with Google Play Store, and other Google services. Also, the smartphone supports many different languages, screen split, gesture controls, power saving mode, and other useful features of Android 7.0 Nougat.
Vernee Mix 2: Camera
The camera is very important part of any smartphone. We believe that no matter how powerful and beautiful the phone is, if the camera is bad, then the phone cannot be good either. Fortunately, Vernee Mix 2 comes with really good camera.
On the rear panel is dual camera with 13MP sensor and aperture f/2.0, as well as an additional 5MP sensor that helps to take photos with bokeh effect. There is 8MP camera on the front panel.

Day photos on a sunny day are really good. They are clear, colorful and detailed.
Photos with blur mode look good. When you select blur mode, you get a slider to change blur level. Tap on the screen to select the main subject that will be focused.
As for the night photos, they are not as good as during the day, and it is predictable. Many flagship phones do not know how to make high-quality night photos, not to mention budget ones, like Vernee Mix 2.
The video is recorded in Full HD resolution. There is no image stabilization, so the video shakes a little. As for quality, it’s good enough. Colors and detail are at a high level.
We can say that Vernee Mix 2 has a good camera, especially if you takes photos in daylight, and also if you have post-processing skills.
Vernee Mix 2: Battery
Vernee Mix 2 has large enough battery with a capacity of 4200mAh. This should be enough even for two full working days. The power saving mode allows you to extend the battery life. The phone is charged via standard microUSB port. It also has quick charge 9V 2A technology.
Our tests showed that Vernee Mix 2 works for about 6 hours with constant playback of Full HD videos. A full charge takes about an hour and a half. It’s really fast.
Vernee Mix 2: Connectivity
As for connectivity, the smartphone supports all popular bands of 2G, 3G and 4G. You can use two Nano-SIM cards, or one SIM card and one microSD memory card.
Also worth noting is that Vernee Mix 2 supports VoLTE technology for better calling. As usual, there are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and Glonass navigation systems.
We did not notice any problems with calls, Wi-Fi or even GPS. Everything works quickly and correctly.

Of course, Vernee Mix 2 is a very interesting smartphone. We have several reasons why you should buy this phone. First, it has a stunning large 6-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, which occupies almost the entire front panel.
The second reason is build quality, including glass rear panel. The smartphone looks amazing! Also I want to note excellent performance and cameras, as for $160 phone. We cannot say that the battery is amazing, because it’s pretty standard, like many other smartphones in this price category.
