TOP 10 most stolen SUV and sports car version of the American National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB)
U.S. National Bureau of insurance crimes (NICB) has published a list of the most stolen crossovers and SUVs. The rankings are based on data on stealing cars 2011-2013 model years, committed in the period 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2013.
Only this time in the United States have been stolen over 21.7 thousand SUVs. Leaders were models of Ford – Escape, Edge and Explorer, who took first through third places, respectively. More than just a theft had to compact crossovers (6.9 thousand thefts), as well as full-size SUVs (3.2 thousand thefts). Least of all was stolen pickups – 53 car.

Moreover, one of the most popular among thieves vsedorozhnikov – Ford Edge – was also the first place in the number of hijackings disclosed. Only five percent of stolen vehicles (76 vehicles) are not returned to the owners.Least of all was found SUV Mercedes-Benz GL – Police failed to disclose 37 percent of crimes related to thefts of these vehicles (119 of 323 stolen cars are not returned to the owners).

NICB also compiled a list of the most stolen sportscar. Leaders were American cars Chevrolet Camaro (1509 stolen car), Ford Mustang (980 cars) and Dodge Challenger (782 cars).

Most hijackings sportscar had to California, where the car was stolen 764. It is followed by Florida (443 hijacking), Texas (381 hijacking), Georgia (257 thefts) and Michigan (187 thefts). Most thefts were committed in the cities of Los Angeles, Long Beach and Santa Ana – a total of 291 theft. Followed by Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Marietta, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
